Book ➲ "Bigger Leaner Stronger" Audiobook ➲ "Bigger Leaner Stronger"

If you want to build muscle, lose fat, and look great as quickly as possible without steroids, good genetics, or wasting ridiculous amounts of time in the gym and money on supplements ... regardless of your age ... then you want to read this book.
Building muscle and burning fat isn't as complicated as the fitness industry wants you to believe. This book is the shortcut.
You don't need to: spend hundreds of dollars per month on the worthless supplements that steroid-fueled bodybuilders “swear by.” You don't need to: constantly change up your weightlifting exercises to build muscle mass. Muscle building is much simpler than that. You don't need to: spend a couple of hours every day doing tons of weight training sets, supersets, drop sets, etc. In fact, this is a great way to get nowhere. You don't need to: grind out hours of boring cardio to shed ugly belly fat and get a six-pack. You don’t HAVE to do any cardio, actually. You don't need to: obsess over "clean eating" and avoid "unhealthy" foods to get ripped. Flexible dieting is the real “secret” of effective bodybuilding nutrition. Those are just a few of the harmful lies and myths that keep guys from ever achieving the lean, muscular, strong, and healthy bodies they truly desire. And in this book you re going to learn something most guys will never know ...
The exact methods of diet and training that make putting on 10 to 15 pounds of quality lean mass a breeze...and it only takes a few months.
Here are just a few of the things you're going to discover in this book: The 7 biggest muscle building myths and mistakes that keep guys small, weak, and frustrated. How to build muscle, lose fat, and get healthy eating foods you love and never feeling starved, deprived, or like you're "on a diet." An all-in-one training system that delivers MAXIMUM results for your efforts, helping you build a big, full chest, a wide, tapered back, thick, powerful legs, and bulging arms...spending no more than 3 to 6 hours in the gym every week...doing workouts that energize you, not wipe you out. A no-BS guide to supplements that will teach you what works and what doesn't, and save you hundreds if not THOUSANDS of dollars each year. How to master the "inner game of fitness" and develop the self-discipline and willpower it takes to build the body of your dreams (and actually enjoy the process!). The 3 simple laws of muscle growth that, when applied, literally force your body to grow bigger and stronger. How to get shredded while still indulging in the "cheat foods" that you love every week like pasta, pizza, and ice cream. And a whole lot more!
Imagine...just 12 weeks from now...being constantly complimented on how great you look and asked how the heck you’re doing it...
Imagine enjoying the added benefits of high energy levels, no aches and pains, better spirits, and knowing that you're getting healthier every day... The bottom line is you CAN achieve that "Hollywood hunk" body without having your life revolve around it.

Finally! I’ve been searching for a source that answers all of my questions and has clear, concise research to back it up. Thank you M. Mathews. All of the bits and pieces of informaiton I’ve found out over the years of training & dieting finally added up. Everything clicked made sense while reading this book 10/10.

I loved it. And love that he actually puts in the studies that support his statements.

Gives me a great starting point without hiring expensive trainers. Wish he would create a video demonstrating the workouts.
  • The only health Book you need

** this book was so good that after buying a paper copy of the book from Amazon, I bought the iBook and also an audible so I can maximize getting the info ** the review below is what I just wrote on So I typically don’t write reviews but this book has compelled me to make a positive change all around. You get a LOT more value from this book than just the science of efficient & effective muscle growth. Through scientific research studies, this book will bust myths and debunk bro science like no tomorrow. It’s one of the most comprehensive books out there. This book has helped me understand the psychology behind healthy choices and how to best keep myself in check. The more I read the book, the more I couldn’t put it down so I ended up buying iBook & audible versions of the book to consume the information as quickly as I can. I was anxious and excited at the same time to put the information into action. Again, the psychology section helped me move past any roadblocks that I had previously put in front of myself. Though a stretch, I’d even go as far as labeling this book as a self help book. Your physiology has a lot to with your psychology and vice verse. This book helps you fix both. I sincerely hope that the author is able to reach a million + people and help them. He’s done the leg work, all we gotta do is apply it.
  • This is the bible of Fitness and Nutrition

I have been studying fitness and nutrition intensly for two years. I must say that there is so much crap out there you will consistantly findout that you are wasting your time with so called gurus that are filling your head with more myths than Greek Mythology. BLS breaks down everything you would ever need to know about fitness and nutriotion and he backs up every claim with facts on a whopping 60+ pages of references listed at the end of the book and citations listed all the way through. No matter what level of lifter you are, you can learn many things from this book. I also love the books training app that you can find at It costs a one time fee of $5 after 10 uses and I find it to be a completely reasonable cost for all the features and benefits it offers. I had been writing my lifts and gains down in my iphone notepad for months and it can be a pain to scroll through all that data sometimes to total up my gains.

  • His podcast convinced me to buy his book

I’ve been listening to Mike’s podcast, Muscle for Life for about a month and I knew right away I wanted to get my hands on his book. I finally made the purchase on Friday and had finished it by Monday. I look forward to starting the program this week. I’ve been doing many of these exercises before but I definitely think this book and his podcast were an eye opener for me in a lot of ways. Mike knows his stuff, he has a great outlook on life and his positivity and motivational ability will fire you up. It’s a simple program but it’s obviously proven!
  • Do it.

I’ve been working out on and off for the past 4 years, however I’ve always had a hard time slimming down and constantly plateaued which led to me taking a break. I’ve been doing the bigger leaner stronger workout for about 3 weeks and eating better. I’m 10 pounds lighter and I can already see a difference in my tone and strength. Highly recommend!
  • Must buy for any gym newbies

I've been listening to your podcasts and really enjoy how you explain everything in great detail but in a way that makes sense! I finished your book and I'm going to start the 5 day split this week. My favorite podcast is where you went in detail about a full body workout and the best exercises to do. I would be interested in a detailed podcast about 3-5 day splits and if you've changed anything since this book. Thanks again for all your hard work. It's very obvious you care about your audience. Cheers!
